Cost Associated with Study Abroad Estimated Expense
Room and Board is based upon cost of living in the host country and city. $1500-5,500
Example, Paris is more expensive than smaller cities in France. |

International Airfare Costs are affected by time of purchase, $800-3,000
length of stay, and any applicable discounts. |

Insurance expense varies. Most students will need to purchase a plan for study abroad. $75-300 Students may only purchase supplemental plans after confirming current coverage. |

Passport Processing Fee - Photos and mailing may be additional costs. $135 Visa or Residence Permit - Documents from Embassy or Consulate that allow students $0-600 to travel to, enter, or reside in their host country. Personal Expenses may include incidentals, local transportation on site,

- Summer Programs may have lower costs
- Cost of exchange is affected by the U.S. Dollar Exchange Rate.
- Students must meet with Financial Aid to discuss award status for intended term abroad
- Do not count on working at your host school.
- Working as a student abroad is regulated and is illegal in some countries.
- Some host countries require additional health and/or liability insurance for visiting students.
