French Visa Information
A student visa is required for students going to France for semester or year.
Students must register with CampusFranceUSA to receive an important document required for visa application.
Application for a student visa to France requires an in-person appointment at the Consulate of Application. Most UWF students will apply at the Consulate of France in Miami. Appointments for visa application should be made no later than 6 weeks before your scheduled departure. Tentative Application date for Fall/year in France is July 15; for spring, December 15. If students are able to make their appointments during November, this will decrease the possibilities of delays with visa processing over the winter holidays.
For full details about the items needed for visa application, please view the following details: http://www.consulfrance-miami.org/spip.php?article962 Visit the Consulate of France in Miami’s website to make your visa application appointment.
Students planning to study for the full academic year are required to submit additional documents for visa application.
Non-U.S. nationals may have additional or different requirements for visa application. These students should consult with the UWF International Student Office before visa application and departure.
