Experience modern living and traditional culture in Korea! Location Sejong is Korea’s multi-functional administrative city, 75 miles south of Seoul. Sejong was designated by the South Korean Government as the center for research, education, and high tech industry. KU Sejong is located at the heart of the city. At Korea University's Sejong campus, you can spend a semester studying in the modern metropolis of Sejong, Korea. Courses are taught in English and you will be required to take a course in Korean language and culture. All participating students must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Application for KU-Sejong Exchange The SEP are open to students who are interested in studying in Korea and learn about Korea through academic and cultural immersion. It is important that you consider your home institution's requirements for you to choose the most suitable program for yourself. Eligibility Student Exchange Program (SEP) Only currently enrolled students of partner institutions that KU has an exchange agreement with are eligible to apply to the SEP. (UWF degree-seeking students only). All applicants are required to secure the approval of UWF International Center and then forward the completed exchange application to the Office of International Affairs at KU-Sejong. KU retains the right to review the students nominated for SEP by their home university and to make a final decision concerning admission. Entry requirements To apply for SEP at KU, you must meet the following requirements: Accurately complete the online application form with essential supporting documents A minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale Must be of a currently enrolled student - Degree seeking at UWF Must have studied for a minimum of 2 full semesters at home institution by the time of submitting the application to KU-Sejong. Tuition Fees All exchange students coming to KU to study pay tuition and other mandatory fees to their home institutions. KU shall not charge exchange students any other fees. However, exchange students are responsible for their own cost of living while in South Korea, such as accommodation, meals, purchasing textbooks and any other personal expenses. Academics KU Sejong offers a variety of courses taught in English. The course offering of the KU College of Humanities would allow UWF students opportunity to each 12-15 credits during semester study at KU Sejong. Visiting students take 2 courses from their academic area, one course in Korean Language and one course in Korean cultural experience. Visa All students require a study visa for semester study at KU-Sejong. SPECIAL PROGRAM: International Town at Sejong Program (ITS) This program requires UWF students to have a 3.0 GPA and select the ITS open when applying for exchange to KU Sejong. ITS students take Korean language, a course in Korean Culture, and 2 additional courses taught in English. ITS students live with 2 Korean students and have housing covered by the ITS program. ITS students also receive a 2-meals-per-day meal plan. ITS KU-Sejong Flight Reimbursement A flight reimbursement of 1,400,000 Korean Won (approximately $1,000 USD) is given to student to help keep total costs down. Additional scholarships are available to help cover monthly expenses and personal travel.
