Experience modern living and traditional culture in Korea! Location Sejong is Korea’s multi-functional administrative city, 75 miles south of Seoul. Sejong was designated by the South Korean Government as the center for research, education, and high tech industry. KU Sejong is located at the heart of the city. At Korea University's Sejong campus, you can spend a summer studying in the modern metropolis of Sejong, Korea. Intensive Courses in Korean language are offered at a special rate for UWF students. All participating students must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Application for KLIP The KLIP program is open to students who are interested in studying in Korea. Eligibility Student Exchange Program (SEP) Only currently enrolled students of partner institutions that KU has an exchange agreement with are eligible to apply to the SEP. (UWF degree-seeking students only). All applicants are required to secure the approval of UWF International Center and then forward the completed KLIP application to the Office of International Affairs at KU-Sejong. KU retains the right to make a final decision concerning admission. Entry requirements To apply for KLIP at KU, you must meet the following requirements: Accurately complete the online application form with essential supporting documents A minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale Must be of a currently enrolled student - Degree seeking at UWF Must have studied for a minimum of 2 full semesters at home institution by the time of submitting the application to KU-Sejong. KLIP Application Package requires KLIP Application Form - Get from UWF Study Abroad Copy of UWF Enrollment Certification showing current student status Copy of Passport Photo Page Two passport style photographs Bank statement showing at least $5000 US - Can be from family with letter confirming they will provide financial support KLIP Application Process: 1. Apply for UWF approval 2. Complete KLIP Application package 3. If approved, pay KLIP fees 4. Receive letter from KLIP 5. Apply for visa to study in Korea (through the Korean Embassy in the US) 6. Receive Visa 7. Study in Korea Tuition Fees KLIP tuiton and fees do not fall under the exchange agreement with UWF and KU-Sejong. Tuition for KLIP is paid directly to KU-Sejong. KLIP students are also responsible for their own cost of living while in South Korea, such as accommodation, meals, purchasing textbooks and any other personal expenses. KLIP Classes KLIP offers instruction of six hours per day, Monday through Friday for Korean language. Subjects include: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. Korean is offered from Level 1 to Level 4. Accommodation During your stay, housing will be provided in the dormitories on the KU-Sejong campus.
