Exchange students have access to all courses taught in English at Orebro University as long as they meet the prerequisites. The course list available to exchange students is updated each semester.

*Tuition is paid to UWF and UWF Credit is received for exchanges.

Housing / Accommodations:
Students apply for accommodation on the same form as exchange application. Exchange students are guaranteed room availability as long as the Accommodation section is completed with the exchange application.
Orebro has 3 student accommodation areas: 2 are Corridor-Style, 1 is Apartment-Style. Most exchange students live in the apartment-style housing. Detailed information about cost of accommodation and making payments for accommodation is available in the ECTS Information Package available on the Application Procedure website linked above.

Health Requirements / Insurance:
All students are required to have a health insurance valid in Sweden. It is recommended that this insurance also covers dental care. Also make sure that you have an insurance that covers your personal belongings if anything should happen.

VISA Information:
Each student will need to have residence permit before entering Sweden. You apply for the permit at the nearest Swedish Embassy in Washington, DC. You will need a valid passport, a Letter of Acceptance from Örebro University and you must prove you have the financial means to cover your expenses for living during your stay. For a full list of items needed to apply for the Residence Permit, view the information on the Embassy of Sweden website http://www.swedenabroad.com/Page____84008.aspx. All the documents are required in original. It is recommended students apply for residence permit for Sweden as soon as the acceptance is received from Orebro University. Processing takes 8-10 weeks. The Swedish Migration Boards takes the decisions on residence permits for studies. You are also entitled to work during the time you are studying. A visa is not required for study in Sweden.
